Welcome friends!

I hope you enjoy the site.

Look around and learn all there is to know about me and my writing adventures.

Behind the words

I enjoy writing, a lot.

I like to write when I'm happy, and I also like to write when I'm sad.

I LOVE learning ways to become a better writer, and I'm always interested in techniques that will help me strengthen my vocabulary.

When I'm not writing, I'm busy navigating schoolwork.  And in between those two things, I like to be in the water practicing my strokes or hanging out and crack 'in jokes with friends.

There is so much to laugh about! And there's even more to write about.

Laugh at most of it! And don't forget to document it.

Brooke was born in Charlotte, North Carolina and still resides in the beautiful city of Charlotte.  Brooke is a 12-year-old seventh grader.

Animal Love

A journey to the local farm is always a blissful trip for Brooke.  She adores quality time with animal friends.

H2O Love

As a competitive swimmer, Brooke spends many hours in the water, yet it never seems to be enough.  It's magic when she's able to combine her love for animals with her affection for the water.

Starfish Touches

A recent visit to the local Aquarium meant added joy for Brooke. She courageously accepted the invitation to touch and gently pet the Starfish.

The Big Fish

Who wouldn't want to take a picture with an oversized fish captured behind them?!  Brooke did not. Not at first.

"With every slow movement, every quiet blink, and every tiny smile, sloths gently remind us that life isn't meant to be rushed."  -Unknown

"They say an elephant never forgets. What they don’t tell you is, you never forget an elephant.” – Bill Murray.

"Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened," - Anatole France
